To enhance the lives of women

The Mackay Women’s Centre is a non-government, community-based organisation, committed to enhancing the lives of women in Mackay and the surrounding region. The Centre is managed by a local committee elected annually from the membership.


We offer women’s counselling, emergency relief, parenting help and facilities such as showers, laundry, internet.

Mackay Women’s Centre is an incorporated, non-government, community organisation, governed by a local committee who are elected annually. We provide a range of free counselling and support services for women in the city of Mackay and surrounding region.

Our focus is on the wellbeing of all women and providing a combined service, where Mackay women of all ages and life stages can attend, and where staff can meet a variety of needs in a friendly, safe and homely atmosphere.”
