MWC welcomes special visitors

We’ve had a busy month at Mackay Women’s Centre this April and have welcomed quite a few visitors.

Last week Member for Mackay Julieanne Gilbert and Queensland Senator Murray Watt dropped in to look around the centre and have a chat with executive director Dr Anne Butcher.

The aim of their visit was to gain a better understanding of the need for services catering to women and children who are experiencing domestic and family violence in Mackay.

We were also very lucky to welcome Andrea Ryan and Jo Bozier from APM Employment Services — and not just because they brought loads of chocolate with them!

Andrea, who is an Engagement Consultant with APM Employment Services (pictured below), and Jo, who is an Employment Consultant, visited the centre with a large donation of Easter eggs for clients of our service.

We are very grateful to the staff at APM Employment Services for their thoughtful and generous donation.

The Easter eggs were gladly received and passed onto women and children in need to brighten up their Easter.
