We are unable to take donated items or clothing at the moment.
Thanks to the generosity of the Mackay community during our 2021 Christmas Hamper Appeal we are currently unable to take any donations.
We are very grateful that you’ve thought of us, here are other ways to help support our service.
Thank you for thinking of us—we really appreciate it!
You can make a secure one-off or regular monetary donation to the Mackay Women’s Centre by clicking on the GiveNow icon.
We often rely on community generosity and donations to help us provide items for emergency relief or charity drives. There are a number of items we almost always need. (ETA: We are unable to accept donations at this time)
- sanitary items
- nappies (particularly larger sizes)
- infant formula
- baby wipes
- baby food
These items are in constant demand to help women and families with emergency relief. If you’re able to donate any of the above items, please feel free to drop them in to the centre. We’re open from 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Your generosity is appreciated.
Donating larger items
Unfortunately we don’t have enough space at the centre to store multiple items or large items—although there are occasionally families in need of items such as cots, highchairs, strollers and other larger household appliances and furniture.
If you’re interested in donating larger items to the centre it is always best to contact us first to learn more about what items are in particular demand.
We also use GIVIT—the national non-profit organisation that connects donations with those in need – we often post there when we are assisting a person or family who have specific needs.
